Veterinary products transport: vaccines and medicines for animals

We transport veterinary cargo — medicines and biological products for animals — at +2…+8 °C and −20 °C in SafePack thermal containers, with a SmartSensor logger that records the whole route. For human vaccines, see our Vaccine transportation page.

About SafePack thermal containers

Veterinary cargo — vaccines and biological products for animals, sera, diagnostic kits and veterinary medicines — cannot be shipped like an ordinary box. If the temperature leaves the range even on the short way from the vehicle to the warehouse, the batch can lose its potency. BIOCARD transports veterinary products as strictly as medicines for humans: in our own thermal containers, with temperature loggers that record the whole route.

We work with veterinary clinics, manufacturers and distributors of veterinary products. We know the veterinary regulations and the cold chain requirements for animal health products (a continuous temperature mode along the whole route), and we transport at +2…+8 °C and −20 °C. The temperature report is kept in the request card in your personal account (Files tab) once it is attached to the order. The equipment is the same as in our temperature-controlled transport of medicines — SafePack thermal containers and SmartSensor temperature loggers — applied to your cargo.

What we transport for veterinary use, and for whom

Veterinary vaccines

Live and inactivated vaccines for farm animals, poultry and pets — the cargo most sensitive to heat, usually in the +2…+8 °C mode.

Biological products and sera

Immunoglobulins, sera, diagnostic kits, probiotics — biological products that spoil when the temperature range is not kept.

Veterinary medicines

Injectable and tablet medicines with storage and transport temperature requirements, antibiotics, hormone preparations.

For veterinary clinics

Regular and urgent deliveries to clinics and laboratories — small consignments from a single ampoule, with temperature control and documentation.

For veterinary product manufacturers

Shipments from the production site and warehouse, large pallet consignments, temperature-controlled transport between sites and to regional destinations.

For distributors

Distribution to regional warehouses and points of sale — we work to keep the cold chain unbroken. We do the transport; we do not compete with you for your customers.

Multi-temperature warehouse: −20 °C and +2…+8 °C chambers
Multi-temperature warehouse: −20 °C and +2…+8 °C chambers

+2…+8 °C

The main mode for most vaccines and biological products for animals.

+15…+25 °C

Controlled room temperature for medicines that must not be chilled.

−20 °C

Freezing for certain biological products and samples.

−70 °C

Deep freezing on dry ice for especially sensitive cargo — on request.

SafePack thermal containers hold these modes with no external power for up to 96 hours in selected validated PCM configurations under their specified test conditions. The rare +8…+15 °C and −196 °C modes (liquid nitrogen, for biomaterials) are highly specialised and arranged on separate request.

How we keep veterinary cargo under control

1

We choose the mode and packaging

We choose the temperature mode and the SafePack container size for your product — from a box for a single ampoule to a pallet-size container. A SmartSensor logger goes inside.

2

The logger records the whole route

SmartSensor logs temperature, humidity, shocks and light (the light reading shows whether the package was opened). The battery lasts several years and never needs recharging.

3

We transport within the temperature range

The thermal container holds the temperature with no external power. Our own fleet and Class A warehouse mean fewer transfers, so the cargo is less likely to be held up.

4

We hand over the cargo and the data

The data is read from the sensor through a network of receivers in our vehicles and warehouses, and also by phone or app. The temperature report is kept in the request card in your personal account (Files tab) once it is attached to the order.

Why BIOCARD

A coordinated logistics chain

We keep packaging, sensors, platform, fleet and warehouse in-house — in medical logistics we take on as much of the logistics chain as possible with our own resources. Sometimes we bring in trusted contractors for the last mile, but control and responsibility remain ours.

Our own equipment

We make SafePack thermal containers ourselves, and SmartSensor loggers are our own development, so we depend less on third-party suppliers of packaging and electronics.

We know veterinary and pharma requirements

We transport in line with cold chain rules and the requirements for veterinary medicines. Experience in medical logistics since 1989 — 37 years in the business.

Pharma licence and standards

A licence for storing and transporting medicines, GDP (Good Distribution Practice) and ISO. The same level of control as for medicines for humans.

Warehouse and fleet

A 30,000 m² Class A warehouse in the village of Vyrubovo (Odintsovo urban district, Moscow Region) with temperature-controlled zones, and our own vehicles — fewer transfers, less risk.

Personal account and reports

Your request history is in your personal account, and the temperature report is kept in the request card (Files tab) once it is attached to the order. The sensor record shows whether the mode was kept, without opening the box.

Frequently asked questions

Which veterinary vaccines and medicines do you transport?

Vaccines for farm animals, poultry and pets, biological products and sera, immunoglobulins, diagnostic kits, and injectable and tablet veterinary medicines. We work with temperature-sensitive cargo, from a single ampoule to pallets.

What temperature ranges do you keep for veterinary vaccines and medicines?

The main modes are +2…+8 °C for vaccines and biological products, +15…+25 °C for medicines that must not be chilled, and −20 °C for frozen cargo. For especially sensitive cargo, deep freezing on dry ice at −70 °C is possible on request. The rare +8…+15 °C and −196 °C (liquid nitrogen) modes are highly specialised and arranged on separate request.

How do you transport veterinary vaccines so that they keep their potency?

In our own SafePack thermal containers, which hold the temperature mode with no external power for up to 96 hours in selected validated PCM configurations under their specified test conditions. Inside is a SmartSensor temperature logger that records temperature, humidity, shocks and light along the whole route. The temperature report is kept in the request card in your personal account (Files tab) once it is attached to the order.

How does the SmartSensor logger work, and how do I get the data?

SmartSensor is a stand-alone logger: it records readings to its memory along the whole route and runs for several years without recharging. The data is read through a network of receivers in our vehicles and warehouses, or by phone or app. The temperature report is kept in the request card in your personal account (Files tab) once it is attached to the order.

What documents and reports do you provide?

We work under a pharmaceutical licence for storing and transporting medicines, and to GDP and ISO standards. The SmartSensor record covers the route from loading to hand-over, and the temperature report is kept in the request card in your personal account (Files tab) once it is attached to the order. The report shows whether the cold chain was kept.

Do you ship veterinary medicines across Russia and internationally?

Yes: across Russia, and internationally on the China → Russia route and to the UAE and the Gulf countries. Our warehouse is in Vyrubovo (Odintsovo), and we have offices in Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg and Dubai. Our own fleet and warehouse help us keep the temperature mode along the whole route.

Get a quote and agree the next step

Send the origin and destination, cargo description, required temperature, piece count, actual weight and outer dimensions. You can ask a question or get an estimate before formal onboarding. The domestic delivery calculator uses the published Russian tariff; international routes, storage and special handling are quoted for the actual task.

Under the public transport offer, acceptance is signed through electronic document exchange before the first transport order. A registration link is then sent to the email in the acceptance, and orders are placed in the client account. If you have no electronic signature or need different contract terms, the manager agrees the contract route. Storage is arranged separately. How to start working with BIOCARD →

Equipment is selected for the cargo, route and conditions. The stated holding time of up to 96 hours applies to selected tested SafePack configurations; it is not a guarantee for every model, load or dry-ice shipment. The manager can provide the test report for the relevant model and range by email. Temperature reports in the client account are available once attached to the order.
