Dimensions refer to a particular model version and configuration. Empty chamber volume excludes cool packs; usable cargo space is smaller after they are installed. SafePack thermal containers
SafePack containers protect medicines, vaccines, biological samples and other temperature-sensitive cargo using a selected cooling configuration. Models include EPS and reusable polyurethane designs, with different capacities and outer covers. The cargo requirements, route, transit time and outside conditions determine the model and arrangement.
Configurations are available for +2…+8 °C, +15…+25 °C and frozen cargo. Suitable configurations with Max cool packs maintain the required range for up to 96 hours under their test conditions. This duration is not universal across models or routes, and does not describe dry-ice shipments. Dry-ice performance depends on the model, amount of ice, conditions and relevant protocol.
Validation and model selection
Tested models include SP-5, SP-9, SP-20, SP-32, SP-50, SP-80, PS-1 and PS XL. All these models except PS XL have also been tested with dry ice. Each model and tested range has a numbered and dated protocol. Ask the manager for the relevant full document and confirmation of the exact configuration.
Chamber volume describes the empty chamber without cool packs. Do not use it as the cargo capacity after installation: internal usable space is smaller and depends on the arrangement. Model versions and outer covers can also have different dimensions. Confirm the supplied version before ordering.
