Cool packs for the cold chain
SafePack cool packs contain phase-change material (PCM). Once conditioned for the shipment, they help maintain the required temperature inside the thermal container without an external power supply. The material, number of packs and their arrangement are selected for the temperature range, container model, cargo and route.
Suitable SafePack configurations with Max cool packs maintain the required range for up to 96 hours under their test conditions. The duration must be checked for the particular configuration; this figure does not describe shipments using dry ice.
For a BIOCARD delivery, the container arrives with its conditioned cool packs already arranged. The sender places the cargo in the inner liner, and the driver closes and seals the container. Do not move the cool packs yourself. The container, cool packs and logger provided for delivery are returnable equipment: BIOCARD arranges their return.

COOL PACKS
BIOCARD makes its own cool packs for transport containers: salt-solution packs, which hold a limited temperature range, and PCM packs, which can hold any temperature mode a shipment needs. When a container is assembled, the cool packs are placed in cardboard blocks. This speeds up assembly and keeps the cargo safe: during transport the cool packs stay in place, do not shift inside the container and do not damage the medicines.
You can assemble a container yourself, like a kit, and choose exactly what you need: a bag, a cardboard box, an inner box, cool packs and a SmartSensor temperature logger.
